Fidé is seeking compassionate and experienced telemedicine providers who are licensed to practice medicine in the states of Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island to provide remote medical care to patients via audio and video calls as well as written communications. The telemedicine provider’s responsibilities include monitoring prescription medication usage, performing prescription renewals, and referring patients to other physicians or health care specialists as needed. You should also be able to address patients' concerns regarding the use of telemedicine services. Providers should be detail-oriented and able to communicate with patients effectively through various virtual communication channels. The exceptional telemedicine provider should keep abreast of the latest developments in the healthcare industry as well as demonstrate sound medical knowledge and excellent analytical skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Medical Doctors or Nurse Practitioners with experience in either Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Primary Care
- Candidates must be licensed to practice in any of the following states: Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island. The more licenses the better
- Must have a working understanding of either Spanish or Portuguese
- Providers will need to prescribe, but will not be prescribing controlled substances
- Must be comfortable working as a 1099 contractor
- Telehealth experience preferred, but not required
- Flexible scheduling is allowed and encouraged; however, the primary commitment is during regular business hours with some patient communication requiring communication outside of these set hours as well. Physician will provide the client with their availability, and they will schedule the MD shifts
- Must have access to a secure laptop or tablet capable of logging into the proprietary portal to begin seeing patients
Responsibilities:
- Providers will be taking telehealth appointments with international patients who are traveling to the US on vacation. If providers are unable to understand a patient, they can tap in the Language Line, but the client is still wanting candidates who have a working understanding of Spanish or Portuguese
- Discussing and reviewing patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications
- Asking patients situation-specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses
- Formulating suitable treatment plans to address non-threatening conditions, such as common colds, cases of flu, ear infections, urinary tract infections, allergies, and rashes
- Prescribing various diagnostic tests to aid in providing accurate diagnoses
- Analyzing diagnostic test results and explaining them to patients
- Prescribing suitable medications to patients and providing proper dosage and administration instructions
- Document treatment recommendations, message patients, and prescribe medication using the client's custom-built EHR (please note we do not prescribe controlled substances due to the virtual nature of our care model)
- Refer patients to other physicians or health care specialists as needed

- Paid training at $20 / hour . Training is estimated to take approximately 2 hours

Compensation:
- Physicians will be paid $17.50 per consult. Consults are expected to last approximately 15 minutes
- Additional compensation of $5 per consult will be given when meeting with patients between 12:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m
- Additional compensation of $1 per minute will be given if a consult goes over 15 minutes long
