Fidé is currently seeking a PCU/Step Down Unit RN with experience for a 13-week contract in Evansville, IN
Minimum Requirements: The following experience is required: 2+ years of current PCU/Step Down Unit experience. Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients recovering from critical illness, assessing vital signs and clinical status to detect any changes in condition.
Advanced Care: Provide specialized nursing care, including administration of medications, IV therapies, and wound management, tailored to the needs of patients in stepdown units.
Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient progress, implementing timely interventions based on clinical findings and protocols.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and specialists, to develop and update individualized care plans, ensuring coordinated treatment.
Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance post-discharge.
Emotional Support: Provide psychological and emotional support to patients and families, addressing concerns and fostering a healing environment.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance activities and nursing committees to improve patient care practices and enhance safety within the unit.
Compliance Credentials Needed for Submission:
- Current IN RN License – compact allowed
- Current AHA BLS
- Current AHA ACLS
- Current NIHSS
- Current Driver’s License
- Last four of SSN and DOB
- EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
- COVID Vaccination Card preferred but not required
- Final RTO
- Resume
- Two Past Supervisor References (must have job title, email, valid phone number)
