Location: Tulsa, OK
Fidé is currently seeking an RN with Oncology experience for a 13-week contract in Tulsa, OK.
Minimum Requirements: The following experience is required: 2+ years of current Oncology Experience.
Job Description:
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Unit Description: This is a 28 bed unit serving medical, oncology, and end of life patients with telemetry capability. Chemo education through ONS preferred, but not required. Only those experienced will be expected to administer chemotherapy. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those
